The Auburn girls basketball team will have a lot of momentum heading into the 2021-2022 season. The Bulldogs will return all five starters and each of their top ten scorers from a 2020-21 team that won 13 straight games, including a 44-38 season opening road victory over eventual class C2 champions Weeping Water, and came one win short of qualifying for the state tournament. Head Coach Grant Cole, in his 5th season with the Bulldogs expressed his excitement for this year’s team, “We have a good group returning and that will lead to a lot of competition in practices and games. We must continue to improve, come together as a team, and do the little things right in order for us to be successful.”

Coach Jackson Weeks, in his sixth year at Auburn, will join Coach Jim Weeks, also in his sixth year, as the two will serve as co-head coaches this season. Other coaches include junior varsity coach Trey Bardsley in his first year, reserve coach Cooper Weeks in his sixth year, Todd Binder in his fifth year, Arnie Cerny in his second year, and Brian Maher in his first year.
