The Lady Eagles started out the new basketball season with five straight wins in December. Part of the reason for Johnson-Brock’s early success this season has been the contributions of their freshman class. The Lady Eagles’ leading scorer is freshman Taryn Ottemann, who’s size and skill has allowed her to go toe-to-toe with senior opponents and total 12.5 points and 10.3 rebounds early in her career. As for the assist category, freshman Brooklyn Behrends leads the way with 2.8 per game, while adding 6.8 points of her own. Chloe Vice and Brooklyn Buchmeier are also contributing a combined 3 points and 4.1 rebounds in their first year of high school ball.
