Three Bulldogs Qualify for Class B State Wrestling Meet; Coach Oliver Named to NSWCA Hall of Fame

Three student/athletes will represent Auburn High School at the Class B State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha later this week. Johnny Gill earned third place medal at 160 pounds to lead the Bulldog qualifiers, while 138-pound Kole Ligouri and 285-pound Robert Liles each finished fourth place to advance to competition at the CenturyLink Center.
“Districts this year was at Bennington High School. We started the season there and for many on the team they ended their season there. It [qualifying for state] was much tougher than I was expecting it to be. I was figuring on five Bulldogs going to state this year for sure, possibly seven. In the end there were three.
