Season Ends for Bulldog Girls in Subdistrict Final Loss

The Auburn Bulldog girls’ basketball team split its C1-1 subdistrict games at Nebraska City.

Wednesday night, Feb. 13, the Bulldogs defeated Falls City 49-30. Thursday night, Feb. 14 Auburn’s season ended with a 45-49 loss to Syracuse. The Bulldogs completed the season 15-6.

Leading Auburn on the scoreboard was Ashley Teten with 23 points. Sydnie Reeves chipped in with 20. Rounding out the scorers were Rachel Bohling 3, Emma Goering 2 and Mollie Grant 1.

From 2-point range, Auburn shot 7 of 22 for 31.8 percent. In 3-pointers the Bulldogs were 10 of 24 for 41.7 percent. Reeves hit 3 of 4 in 3-pointers. From the free throw line Auburn hit 5 of 10 for 50 percent.

The Bulldogs were outrebounded 25 to 30. Reeves led the way pulling down 10. Teten had 4; Mollie Grant and Jaeleigh Heck 2 each; with 1 apiece by Emma Goering, Addie Gyhra and Macy Rieschick.
