Magnolia Metal Juniors Win One of Three Games in Area Tourney; Finish Season 9-14

Going 1-2 in last weekend’s area tournament, the Magnolia Metal Juniors American Legion baseball team ended the season with a 9-14 record.

Friday, July 12, the Juniors lost 1-12 to Elmwood-Murdock-Nehawka (EMN) in 5 innings. Early Saturday afternoon, July 13 the team won 7-4 over Nebraska City Later in the afternoon Magnolia Metal Juniors dropped a 4-8 decision to Lincoln Lutheran Lincoln Hotel Group junior varsity. The defeat eliminated the Juniors from the area tournament.

EMN Game

Magnolia Metal Juniors finished with 4 hits to six for EMN. EMN scored 5 times in the first inning adding their other runs in the third. Auburn’s lone run came in the third.
