Lady Eagles Went 1-2 in Conference Tournament

The Johnson-Brock Lady Eagles won one of three games in the Pioneer Conference tournament. The Lady Eagles are 8-11 entering the final week of the regular season.

After their 56-22 rout of lith seed Tri County Monday night, Feb. 1, sixth seed Johnson-Brock lost 20-46 to third seed Sterling. The Lady Eagles closed tournament play losing 36-45 to fourth seed Diller-Odell in the consolation round.

No scoring by quarters was available for the first two games.

Second seed Lourdes Central Catholic won the tournament, edging previously undefeated Falls City Sacred Heart 31-29.

Tri County Game

Scoring: Jordan Koehler 21 points, Taylor Buchmeier 10, Natalie Knippelmeyer 8, Audrey Sandfort 7, Joscelyn Behrends and Halle Rasmussen 4 each and Abigail Hodges 2.

Rebounding: Koehler 10, Buchmeier 8, Sandfort 4, Skylar Witte 3 and Behrends 2.

Steals: Koehler 6, and 4 each by Knippelmeyer and Sandfort.

Blocked Shots: Buchmeier 2; and Knippelmeyer, Sydnee Nickels, Sandfort and Kendra Shreves.

Scoring: Sandfort 11, Koehler 5, and 2 each from Behrends and Buchmeier.

Blocked Shots: Buchmeier 2.

Scoring: Sandfort was the lone double figure scorer finishing with 13. Knippelmeyer 8, Buchmeier 6, Rasmussen 5 and Koehler 4.

The Griffins had two double digit scorers: A. Heidemann with 16, including 3 of 7 in 3-pointers and K. Heidemann with lo.

Rebounding: The Lady Eagles were outrebounded by Diller-Odell 26 to 3o. Buchmeier pulling down 8 boards, Koehler and Rasmussen 5 apiece, and 4 each by Knippelmeyer and Sandfort. Leading the Griffins was K. Heidemann grabbing 12.

Steals: Sandfort 4, Koehler 3, Rasmussen 2, and Buchmeier and Knippelmeyer 1 each. K. Heidemann had 5 for Diller-Odell.

Blocked Shots: Buchmeier 3 and Koehler 1. K. Heidemann had 2 for the Griffins.

Personal Fouls: Buchmeier 5 and Knippelmeyer 3, the Lady Eagles were called for 12 total. Diller-Odell was called form fouls, K. Heidemann and M. Swanson each with 3.
