Lady Eagles Retain Class D-1 Volleyball Championship

The Johnson-Brock Lady Eagles won three four-set matches in Lincoln earning their second Class D-1 state volleyball championship.
Thursday night, Nov. 10, at Lincoln East High School, the Lady Eagles defeated Blue Hill, 25-17, 25-19, 22-25 and 25-15. Johnson-Brock raised its season record to 29-4 while Blue Hill ended its season at 22-10.
Early Friday afternoon, Nov. 11, the Lady Eagles picked up their 30th win of the season with a 24-26, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-17 triumph over Guardian Angels Central Catholic. The match was at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Johnson-Brock won the championship early Saturday afternoon, Nov. 12, at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The Lady Eagles finished the season with an 18-25, 25-12, 25-21 and 25-21 win over Meridian. In avenging their district championship loss, Johnson-Brock finished 31-4. Meridian dropped to 26-6.
