Jim Weeks Gets 500th Coaching Win Dec. 30

AUBURN BULLDOGS Head Coach Jim Weeks is presented the game basketball following the Friday, Dec. 30, third place game in the Auburn Holiday Tournament. Auburn’s 60-52 victory over Johnson County Central was Weeks’ 500th win as a coach. The Bulldog players and coaching staff gather to help celebrate the accomplishment. Of the 500 wins, 412 came at Beatrice High School. Weeks coached the Orangemen to three state championships, three runner-up finishes and two third places. Beatrice reached the Class B semifinals 13 times during the coach’s 24 years at the school. Weeks also coached two years at Axtell, Kan. and taught one year at Grand Island Northwest High Schoo
