Fossenbarger’s Seven TD Passes Key in 72-32 Win Bees Fall Victim to Eagles’ High-Powered Offense

The Johnson-Brock Eagles made visiting Bloomfield the latest foe to experience their high-scoring offense en route to a 72-32 victory last Tuesday afternoon. Along the way, senior quarterback Cole Fossenbarger had a record-tying game, throwing seven touchdown passes to equal the mark set by Giltner’s Jake Findley, whose seven TD tosses came against Hay Springs in 2012. Fossenbarger and junior Ty Hahn set the tone early as the two connected for a 71-yard scoring strike in the first quarter. Fossenbarger added the conversion run and the Eagles led 8-0. Later in the quarter, Fossenbarger scored on a six-yard run and senior Dylan Rowe caught the conversion pass from Fossenbarger. Johnson-Brock’s lead stood 16-0 after the first 12 minutes. The Eagles scoring explosion continued in the second period as sophomore Kaden Glynn caught a 20-yard TD pass from Fossenbarger.
