FNB of Johnson Seniors End Regular Season Splitting Games at Springfield

The First National Bank (FNB) of Johnson Senior American Legion baseball team took a 22-14 season record to the area tournament. Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18 the Seniors went 2-2 in a tournament at Springfield.

Late in the afternoon of July 16, the Seniors opened play dropping a 2-12 decision to Omaha Roncalli in 6 innings. In July 17 action, FNB of Johnson Seniors lost 7-9 to Ashland early in the afternoon before routing Wahoo 10-2 in 5 innings later in the day. The team finished the tournament with a 4-1 triumph over Minden early in the afternoon of July 18.

Omaha Roncalli Game

Auburn outhit the Omahans 8-7. The locals took a 1-0 third inning lead. Omaha Roncalli took a 4-1 lead in the fourth. After FNB of Johnson Seniors scored their second run in the fifth, Omaha Roncalli responded with 5 in the fifth and 3 in the sixth.
