Finke and Castillo Peru State April Athletes of the Month

Peru State athletic director Wayne Albury recently announced that women’s golfer Taylor Finke (Battle Creek) and baseball player Daniel Castillo (Barranquilla, Colombia) were selected as April’s Bobcat Athletes of the Month.

A senior who will be returning next year for Peru State, Finke led the golf team in nearly every meet this year and was the top golfer in each of April’s tournaments.

Finke finished in a tie for 20th in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) Championship where she had a three-round total of 273. Earlier in the month, Finke medaled at the Midland/College of St. Mary Spring Invite as she tied for fourth with a two-day total score of 189.
