Eagles Lose to Mead 28-34 in Regular Season Finale; Play at Allen Oct. 22 in D-2 Playoffs

The Johnson-Brock Eagles concluded the regular season Friday night, Oct. 16 with a 28-34 home loss to Mead. The Eagles finished the regular season 3-5 overall and 2-2 in district games. Mead evened its regular season record at 4-4 ending 3-1 in the district. Falls City Sacred Heart won the district title with a 3-0 record. The Irish are 6-1 in all games.

The Eagles travel to 6-0 Allen Thursday, Oct. 22 opening the Class D-2 postseason. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. Johnson-Brock qualified for the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year and 15th time overall. Its postseason record is 13-13. Allen will be making its 10th postseason appearance, it lost 0-76 to the Eagles in Johnson-Brock’s 2018 state title season. Allen is 8-9 in the playoffs.
