Eagles Defeat Irish, Raiders Before Pioneer Tourney

The Johnson-Brock Eagles were 12-6 entering this week’s Pioneer Conference basketball tournament after ending January with a couple of home triumphs.
Thursday night, Jan. 28, the Eagles won 56-4o over Falls City Sacred Heart. The Irish are 10-6 entering the conference tournament. Friday night, Jan. 29, Johnson-Brock edged Southern 44-42. The Raiders dropped to 9-6.

Trailing 11-15 after the first quarter, Johnson-Brock took a 30-25 lead at halftime. Over the final 16 minutes, the Eagles outscored the Irish 26-15.
