Thursday, Oct. 26, the Johnson-Brock Eagles started the Eight-Man 1 football playoffs with a 24-6 win over Heartland at Henderson. The Eagles raised their season record to 5-4. Heartland’s season ended at 7-2.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 1, the Eagles played Pender at Johnson in the second round. Pender is 14th seed and Johnson-Brock 11th seed in the East bracket.

Coach Mitch Roberts’ Comments

“This was a great win for our football program. We had a great week of practice during our bye week and carried that into the playoff preparation. Our guys were focused, energetic and physical. We controlled the line of scrimmage and were able to shut down their big play ability. Our defense forced five turnovers. Our offense was able to move the ball effectively, considering the conditions. We (worked) on some things moving forward in preparation for Pender.”
