Bulldogs Open 2021 Baseball Losing at Crete and to Beatrice

Friday and Saturday, March 19 and 20, the Auburn Bulldogs began the baseball season dropping decisions to Crete and Beatrice.

At Crete, Auburn lost 9-13 while in their Tushla Field debut, the Bulldogs lost 1-13 to the Orangemen in 5 innings. The home opener was delayed two days after rains earlier in the week. They were the first games under new head Coach Tommy Grafton.

Crete Game

Auburn took a 3-0 lead after its first two at-bats. The Cardinals evened the score in the third inning. After the Bulldogs went up 5-3 in the sixth, Crete struck for 10 runs in their half of the frame. Auburn tallied four times in the seventh for the final margin.
