Bulldogs Defeat Palmyra Opening ECNC Tourney; Played Mead Oct. 10

In their East Central Nebraska Conference tournament opener Monday, Oct. 9, the Auburn Bulldogs defeated the Palmyra Panthers in four sets. Scores were: 27-25, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-21. Auburn raised its season record to 14-8. Palmyra dropped to 16-4. Auburn is fifth seed and Palmyra fourth seed.

Coach Lexie Baack’s Comments

“Our ladies played with absolute heart and passion (Oct. 9). We switched up a couple of things offensively and that seemed to take Palmyra off their game a little. Finding holes against them is always tough. However, our hitters stepped up and put plenty of balls away at key points. Our defense also picked up significantly and we’re able to save a lot of balls for us. So proud of these ladies.”
