Bulldog Varsity Boys Remain Unbeaten with 60-42 Win Over Elmwood-Murdock

Auburn Varsity boys basketball team jumped out to a 3-0 start for the 2018-19 season with their third straight win by defeating the Knights of Elmwood-Murdock 60-42 on Saturday, Dec. 8 at Auburn High School. The Bulldogs, return from a district runner-up 2017-18 season, with two starters back in sophomore Cam Binder and junior CJ Hughes.

After two road wins against Malcolm and Weeping Water, Auburn opened their home schedule against the Knights, who entered the game 1-2, including a one-point loss to Ashland-Greenwood, the night before the match-up against Auburn. The Bulldogs and Knights split their two contests last year.

The Bulldogs came out hot by scoring 26 first quarter points, with Binder and 6’8” junior Josh Lambert each contributing ten.
