Bulldog Softball Drops Regular Season Finale 8-10 to Nebr. City

The Auburn Bulldogs entered district softball with an 18-6 season record. Thursday night, Oct. 3, Nebraska City scored twice in the seventh inning edging the Bulldogs 10-8. Kylie Allen homered 3 times driving in 7 runs. Jaeleigh Heck also had a four-bagger. It was Auburn’s final home game of 2019. Weather forced two cancellations in the final regular season week. The Tuesday, Oct. 1 date with Wilber-Clatonia and the Saturday, Oct. 5 Yutan Invitational were canceled. In the latter case, the fields at Yutan were not playable and more rain was expected Friday night, Oct. 4.
