Bulldog Girls Win ECNC Cross Country Title with Three All-Conference Runners; Boys Team 2nd

Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Auburn Bulldog girls and boys cross country team had a successful day at the East Central Nebraska Conference (ECNC) meet.

The girls nipped Malcolm for the championship while the boys finished second. The meet was contested at Walnut Grove Course in Omaha.

Girls Team Placings and Scores

1. Auburn 30; 2. Malcolm 31; 3. Louisville 46; 4. Conestoga 72; 5. Johnson County Central 76 and 6. Weeping Water 82.

Faith Allgood earned fourth medalist at 22:46.25. Bethany Kiekel took fifth medalist at 22:53.63. Kyra Becker captured sixth medalist at 22:54.93. Top six finishers are recognized as All-Conference runners.

Rounding out the Auburn varsity were: Alyssa Mather, 19th at 24:59.29; Kara Mertes, 24th at 26:41.30 and Chloe Weeks 26th at 26:49.28.
