Bulldog Boys Fall to Lourdes Central Catholic Knights 52-31

The Auburn High School Varsity boys basketball team lost 52-31 to Nebraska City Lourdes on January 19th. The Knights jumped out to a 21- 10 lead after one quarter and remained in control the rest of the night.
Baily Darnell led the Bulldogs with 18 points. Skyler Hopper finished next high with 11 points and Brett Gerdes concluded scoring with two points.
Coach Jim Weeks said, “Their [Lourdes Central Catholic] size hurt us and made us stop their attack with two defenders so consequently that leaves someone open to shoot. Miller and Vasa got too many clean looks from the perimeter and made shots.
