Bobcat Baseball Splits with C-S

In the annual battle of the ‘Cats, the Peru State Bobcats handily won the first game of a double header over Culver-Stockton 14-2 in Canton, Mo., on Saturday, March 27. In the second game, the Wildcats came back to take a 5-2 victory.

With the split, Peru State is now 8-14-1 overall and 5-3 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) North Division. Culver-Stockton is 7-16 on the season and 3-7 in the Heart North.

First Game Action

Peru State struck first in the top of the second. Jackson Tingwald (Ralston) doubled to center field, but was thrown out stretching for third. Jose Solis (Los Santos, Panama) doubled to center and then Jesus Tavarez (Santo Domingo, D.R.) homed down the right field line on a 3-2 count to make it 2-0.
