Aug. 22 Softball Game at Malcolm Opens 2019 Bulldog Fall Sports Slate

The Auburn Bulldog 2019-2020 sports schedule gets underway Thursday, Aug. 22.

The softball team travels to Malcolm. Junior varsity plays at 4:30 p.m. followed by varsity at 6:30 p.m. In 2018, the Bulldogs were 26-5 playing in their third consecutive Class C state tournament. In the final Class C ratings, Auburn was ranked fifth by the Lincoln Journal Star and seventh by the Omaha World-Herald. The home opener in softball will be Thursday, Aug. 29 with Cass County Central.

The varsity volleyball team has a 6:30 p.m. jamboree match at home with Falls City Sacred Heart on Thursday. Proceeds will go towards the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame Foundation. The Bulldogs were 21-10 in 2018. The foundation preserves the history of high school sports in the Cornhusker State. The regular season volleyball opening match is Aug. 29 at Louisville.
