Auburn Football Drops Opener 14-12 to Fairbury

A young Bulldog team dropped the season opener to Fairbury, Friday night 14-12. Returning from an 8-2 season last year, and with coach Tony Janssen back to lead Auburn, the 2019 Bulldogs feature many new faces in key positions. From last year’s playoff team, Auburn lost its top two receivers, top two rushers, and top three tacklers. Auburn’s senior roster now only includes three players: 5-9 wide receiver Drew Keller, 5-10 lineman Austin Youngquist, and 6-7 lineman Josh Lambert.
