DARRELL RICHARD CHANDLER

DARRELL RICHARD CHANDLER

Darrell Richard Chandler, 72, formerly of Peru, Nebraska was born on July 19, 1948, in Humboldt, Nebraska to William “Bill” and Esther (Harms) Chandler. He was the fourth and youngest son to be born to this marriage. The family at the time of his birth lived on a farm outside of Verdon where Darrell attended kindergarten through 2nd grade at Dawson public school and half of third grade in Verdon. The family moved to Humboldt where his dad farmed and he attended a one room country school and Humboldt public school. The family moved to Peru around 1960 where his dad was the first custodian at the new Student Center at Peru State College. Darrell attended Peru Prep and graduated from high school with the class of 1966. He then attended PSC for a year and a half before working for the City of Peru for a year. Darrell then began working at Wood carve Cabinet Factory (later called Triangle Pacific then Armstrong). Darrell worked around 35 years before he had to take disability due to arthritis.

DONNITA F. HENDERSON

Donnita Faye (Dilsaver) Henderson, the fourth child of Chester Earl and Doris Mildred (Fuller) Dilsaver, was born October 10, 1938 at Sargent, Nebraska. Donnita grew up on a ranch in Rock County and attended District 3 through the 8th grade, and then Rock County High School, graduating with the class of 1956.

RICHARD D. OSSOWSKI

Richard Donald Ossowski was born January 27, 1937 in Blue Springs, Nebraska. He was one of five children of Matthew and Velva (Zugmier) Ossowski. Dick graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1955.

RICHARD “DICK” PARRIOTT

Richard Daryl Parriott, one of five children of Richard E. and Fern (Adams) Parriott, was born August 12, 1931 on the family farm near Peru, Nebraska. He attended Honey Creek school near his home through 8th grade. He then went to Peru Prep and graduated from high school.

NELLIE L. GROOMS

Nellie Lavonne Grooms was born December 27, 1928 to Walter and Minnie (Colerick) Curttright in Nemaha, Nebraska. She was the youngest of 11 children. Nellie grew up in Nemaha and graduated from high school there in 1947.
