Marianne Applegate age 88 of Louisville, Nebraska passed away on February 28, 2022 at Midlands Hospital in Papillion, Nebraska. She was born on February 23, 1934 in Crab Orchard, Nebraska to Willis and Erma (Steiner) Shuey.
Virginia Lee (Pettit) Good, age 94 of Grand Island died on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The funeral service was on Tuesday, March 8 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. Interment was later that afternoon at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Peru.
Sallie Lee (Ballance) Emshoff of Avoca, Nebraska, was born on February 11, 1938 in Anna, Illinois to Al and Freda Ballance. She passed away on February 22, 2022 at Banner Del Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, Ariz.
Gerald “Jiggs” Allen Roe, 83, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on June 8, 1938 in a small farmhouse on the Richardson/ Nemaha County line to Ruth (Wilson) and Elbert “Bud” Roe of Humboldt. Jiggs graduated from Humboldt High School in 1956 and during his high school years, he participated in football, basketball, and track. Jiggs excelled in sports and was always known for being a very good athlete. He spent his summers helping local farmers as a farmhand.
