WILLIAM “BILL” F. OSBORNE

1950-2017

William “Bill” Frederick Osborne, 66, of Auburn, Nebraska was born on December 6, 1950 in Auburn to Willis and Florence (Hill) Osborne. Bill was raised in Auburn where he attended grade school and junior high. He was a baptized member of the Auburn Christian Church and graduated from Auburn High School with the class of 1969. After graduating, Bill took classes at Peru State College. Bill began his working career at Wood Carve Cabinets in Auburn. He was employed there for many years before working with his father at Martin Mariettea Rock Quarry near Weeping Water. Bill then worked for the Street Department for the City of Auburn and later at Glenn’s Corner Market where he helped bag and deliver groceries. Bill passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Auburn having reached the age of 66 years and seven months. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Susan Tanner and Nancy Yates. Bill is survived by his brothers: Tom Osborne and his wife Janet of Auburn; John Osborne and his wife Cyndi of Nebraska City, Neb.; brothers-in-law: Kurt Tanner of Nemaha, Neb.; Robert Yates of Auburn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 10, 2017, at The Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, with Pastor Tom Osborne officiating. Interment was at the Sheridan West Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Auburn Rescue Squad.
