TOMMY L. REMMERS

1939-2023

Tommy L. Remmers, 83, of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Wathena, Kansas passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Tommy was born on July 21, 1939, in Auburn, Nebraska to Thomas and Lela (Gerdes) Remmers.

He graduated from Auburn High School in 1958. Tommy went to work for State Farm Insurance in 1958, then moved to Wathena in 1976, and retired from State Farm in 2008.

He was a member of the St Ann’s Catholic Church in Warsaw, Missouri and Knights of Columbus in Wathena, Kansas.

Tommy married Kay Phillips on September 6, 1958, in Auburn, Nebraska. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jerry Lee Remmers, brother, Ervin Remmers, and sister, Norma Dart.

10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Tommy’s wishes were to be cremated with no services. Memorials may be made to Wathena EMS.
