SAUNDRA S. JODRY

Saundra S. (Holland) Jodry, age 57 of Plattsmouth passed away at the Bellevue Medical Center on December 21, 2017. She was born on January 30, 1960 at Auburn, Nebraska, the daughter of L. Raymond Holland and Marjorie Ann (Johnson) Holland. She attended school in Auburn and graduated with the class of 1978. She attended Peru State College where she earned her degree in Business. She later returned to Peru State College and completed her Teaching degree. She was united in marriage to Terry Jodry on June 19, 2011 at their home in Plattsmouth. The two loved spending time near water, and watching the sunsets at the lake. Saundra worked for 20 years for the Omaha Public Schools as a Special Educator. Her students meant the world to her, and she was recognized as “Teacher of the Month” in Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Darrell Holland in 1983, brother-in-law Paul Maddox, and sister-in-law Hazel Holland. She is survived by her loving husband Terry Jodry of Plattsmouth, Neb.; Siblings: Duayne Holland of Tabor, S.D.; Ron Holland and wife Linda of Nebraska City; Diane Maddox of Nebraska City; LaHala Cunningham of Omaha, Neb.; and Karen Auer and husband Barry of Buffalo City, Wisc. Brother and sisters in law: Barbara Caspers of Tecumseh, Neb.; Kim and Clay Gerdes of Auburn; and Wendy Mason of Lincoln, Neb. Mother and father in law Pat and Dean Jodry of St. Joseph, Missouri. Numerous nieces and nephews, other family, and many friends. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday December 27, 2017 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Pastor Don Moore officiating. Burial was in the Wyuka Cemetery at Nebraska City. The family greeted friends on Tuesday, Dec., 26 at Calvary Community Church in Nebraska City. Remembrances may be left at www.gudefuneralhomes.com.
