Rosalie (Spicher) Davis was born April 24, 1928 in Wetmore, Kansas. She was one of four children of Harry and Nora Edna (Heikes) Spicher. Rosalie attended school in Wetmore and other Kansas communities, graduating from Wetmore High School.

On November 8, 1952 Rosalie was united in marriage to Charles Robert Davis at the Methodist Church in Falls City, Nebraska. They were blessed with two daughters, Roberta and Ruth Ann. In 1956 Rosalie and Bob moved to a farm near Stella, Nebraska.

Rosalie busied herself raising her daughters, running the household, and helping on the farm. She enjoyed going dancing with Bob at the Auburn Eagles Club and other dance venues in the area. Rosalie also liked to visit casinos, from White Cloud to Las Vegas. Of all her pastimes, her favorite was being able to spend time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After Bob’s passing in 2015 Rosalie continued to live on the farm for about three years. After a fall and a broken hip, she spent some time in hospital and rehabilitation before moving to Good Samaritan Society-Auburn. It was there she passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2019 at the age of 91 years, 4 months, and 6 days. In addition to her husband and her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her brother Perry Spicher.

Survivors include her daughters Roberta and husband Greg Lockard of Stella; Ruth Ann Gutierrez of Brock; son-in-law Bill Gutierrez; grandchildren and spouses Kim and Kyle Petsch, Karissa and Austin McDonald, Katina and Trent Farritor, Kurt and Rachelle Lockard; great-grandchildren Dylan, Keira, Kasen, Brooklyn, Kinley, Karli, Gracelyn, Grant, Avery, Sophia, Hadlee; sisters Cleo Howard of Lindsborg, Kansas; Maxine Smith of Fullerton, Calif.; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. John Henderson, was Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Casket bearers were Kurt Lockard, Kyle Petsch, Austin McDonald, Trent Farritor, Dylan McDonald, Kasen Petsch, and Grant McDonald.

Burial was in Sheridan Cemetery near Auburn.

Services were entrusted to Hemmingsen Funeral Home of Auburn.
