As a result of his failing health, Dick and Norma resided in several nursing homes in the area. Norma passed away in 2019 and he remained at Good Samaritan Society-Syracuse in Syracuse, Nebraska. It was there he passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 5 days.
