OSCAR M. ADAMS

Oscar M. Adams passed away on June 9th, 2021 at the age of 94 years in Branson Missouri.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Forsyth (Missouri) Senior Center, 13879 US Hwy 160 on July 6, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at Mount Vernon Cemetery near Peru, Nebraska on July 24th, 2021 at 11:00 where he will be laid to rest alongside his family. Lunch will be served at the Peru Community Center directly after service.

Oscar was born in Peru on September 7, 1926 to Pete and Mae F. (Cotton) Adams. Oscar married L. Irene Kizer on May 6, 1957 and lived in Peru until her passing in 1995. Oscar retired from Otoe County Sheriff’s Office where he had worked as a dispatcher for many years before becoming the jailer there. After retiring, he married Marguerite Hall on July 24th, 1998 and moved to Forsyth, Mo., where he lived until his passing.

He is survived by his wife Marguerite “Mike” of Forsyth; sister, Judie (Dwight) Bear of Forsyth; children, Dianna (Gary) Simms of Hickman, Neb., Danny (Vicky) Adams of Sabetha, Kansas, Deb Adams of Lincoln, Neb., and Denise (Lee) Douglas of Hickman, Neb.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Wilma and Eunice, and two brothers, Otis and Dean.
