May 5 Services for Deborah Winquist

Moore, S.C.—Deborah Anne Winquist, 69, passed away at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Monday, May 1, 2017. Debbie was born August 23, 1947 in Sedalia, Missouri, the second of four children, to Henry Grady and Violet Merle Nash owners of Nash’s Hickory Pit Restaurant, a place dear to her childhood. A graduate of Versailles High School, she enjoyed a long career at Boeing Wichita before retiring to Spartanburg, S.C. to be closer to her family. Debbie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, generous with her time and compassionate to all she encountered. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Leonard Winquist, a native of Axtell, Kansas, as well as her sister Robin Carroll of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Dennis Nash of Buffalo, Missouri. Debbie was the mother of two daughters, Cindy McCormick (Rob) of Spartanburg and Kara Mabery (Ben) of Spartanburg as well as grandmother to Mary McCormick, Anna McCormick, Jackson Mabrey, and Samuel Mabrey. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5th, 4PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
