MARJORIE JEAN WILHELMS Sept. 9, 1931-Nov. 28, 2016

Marjorie Jean Wilhelms passed away on November 28, due to complications from breast cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Roger Wilhelms; her father, Reinhardt Beckmann; her mother, Emma Pulver Beckmann; her brother, Leland Beckmann; and her twin brother, Marvin Beckmann. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Jeri Wilhelms Holmes; son-in-law, Jim Holmes; son, Rodney Wilhelms; daughter-in-law, Mona Wilhelms; and her four granddaughters: Jennifer Holmes, Megan, Mallory, and Margo Wilhelms. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and other relatives. Marjorie graduated from Auburn (Nebraska) High School in 1949. For a time, she worked for the Lincoln Telephone Co. in Auburn. On September 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to Roger Wilhelms. Marjorie was co-owner of two printing businesses, one in the Los Angeles area and the other in Big Bear Lake, where she and her husband resided prior to their retirement to Lake San Marcos. Art was her passion. Marjorie was an accomplished artist for over 50 years and loved teaching others to paint with oil, acrylic, and water colors during her years living in Whittier, Big Bear Lake, and Lake San Marcos. Funeral services were held December 1, 2016 at the Allen Bros. Mortuary Chapel in San Marcos, California.
