KAELEB VICE

1983-2019

Kaeleb Nohlen Vice, son of Noha Vice and Kathryn Renville Vice Keithley, was born September 13, 1983 in Falls City, Nebraska. He attended Auburn Public Schools through the 8th grade, attended high school at Southeast Nebraska Consolidated in Stella, and graduated in 2002.

On July 29, 2005 Kaeleb was united in marriage to Cazzi Cales in El Dorado, Kansas. They were blessed with three children, Kegan, Chloe, and Kinley, and had made their home south of Nemaha, Nebraska.

Kaeleb worked for many years with his dad and grandpa at Don C. Vice Roofing in the Stella area. He next worked with Chris Blaylock Stucco in El Dorado, Kansas before returning to roofing. He was a heavy machinery operator for Taft Construction, and worked outages at Cooper Nuclear Station as well. Kaeleb had more recently worked for Ariens Corporation in Auburn, and then Fast Global Solutions. He was Quality Control Lead with the manufacturer in Auburn.

Kaeleb loved the outdoors and baseball. He hunted, trapped, and fished, and belonged to the Missouri River Fishing Club. He helped coach baseball and football and bowled on the Ariens Bowling Team. Mostly, Kaeleb enjoyed being with and doing things for his kids and family.

On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, Kaeleb passed away unexpectedly at his home near Nemaha. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers LaVerne Renville and Don Vice and uncle Laythan Vice.

Kaeleb is survived by his wife Cazzi of Nemaha; children Kegan, Chloe, and Kinley; parents Kathryn and Rodney Keithley of Auburn; Noha and Carrie Vice of Stella; sisters and brothers-in-law Alicia Renville and Cameron Nicholson of Lincoln; Tiffany and Perry Thompson of Pembroke, N.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law Lucas and Bailey Vice of Augusta, Kansas; Logan and Jayme Vice of Shubert; Evan and Megan Keithley of Lincoln; grandmothers Marilyn Renville of Augusta, Kansas; Shirley Vice of Stella; father-in-law LeRoy Cales of Tavares, FL; mother-in-law Linda Cales of Fountain, Colorado; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Kaeleb was held Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, officiated by Rev. Corey Miller and Chris Blaylock.

Lucas Vice, Dustin Volker, Thomas Georges, Blayne Behrends, Andy Carman, and Joe Casey served as casket bearers. Josh Dunlap, Kent Allen, Bud Parrish, Chris Crawford, Evan Keithley, Logan Vice, Scott Pelican, Dayton Kennedy, Shawn Carfield, and Jared Gerdes were honorary bearers.

Burial followed in Harris Cemetery at Barada.

Services were entrusted to Hemmingsen Funeral Home of Auburn.
