JOYCE ANN BRUGGEMAN

1941-2021

Joyce Ann Bruggeman, 80, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away October 31, 2021, in Loveland, Colo. Joyce was born in Seward, Nebraska, to R. Wiley and H. Maxine Remmers.

Joyce grew up with her three sisters and parents on the family farm in Southeastern Nebraska. She attended a country school, Auburn and Johnson Public Schools and St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Growing up, Joyce enjoyed adventures with her cousins on the farm, being involved in their singing group and riding horses together.

After marriage to Rod Bruggeman, they lived in Nebraska, South Dakota, and California. Joyce worked at the University of Nebraska, Miller and Paine Department Store and Carson National Bank. She also farmed and raised hogs until she began her Independent Mary Kay Business in 1983.

Joyce and her Unit broke a company record her first year in Mary Kay. For 38 years she earned the opportunity to drive a Mary Kay Car including 16 Pink Cadillacs. Joyce was grateful for her unit earning the 650,000 Unit Club which gave her the opportunity to Cruise the Mediterranean with her sister Mary Kay Directors. Joyce loved to travel to see her family and enjoyed being with and going special places with them.

Joyce is survived by her son, Bryan Bruggeman, daughter, Rhonda (Bob) Jeanneret of Drake, Colo.; sisters Janice (Mike) Guilliatt of Fremont, Neb., Jacqueline (Brian) Branda of Houston, Texas; brother and sister-in-laws Terry Broady of Johnson, Neb., Lonnie (Leigh) Bruggeman of Humboldt, Neb., Sid (Carol) Bruggeman of St. LiBory, Neb., Kate Wileman of Indiana; grandchildren Nathan Bruggeman of Kearney, Neb., Jessica Bruggeman of Grand Island, Neb., Heather (Francisco) Candelaria of Fort Collins, Colo., Josh (Lindsy) Jeanneret of Loveland, Colo., Cody (Jennifer) Jeanneret of Fort Collins, Colo., Bobby Jeanneret of Windsor; great-grandchildren Danica Candelaria, Gavin Candelaria, Liam Candelaria, Quinn Candelaria, Evelynn Ann Jeanneret, Vera Jo Jeanneret, Barrett Jeanneret; aunts Dorothy Aufenkamp of Julian, Neb., Lavonda Abernathy of Papillion, Neb. and many cousins, nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lois Callan, sister-in-laws Burna Broady and Karyle Hoyle.
