JOSEPH R. PARRINO

Joseph Richard Parrino, 82, formerly of Auburn, Nebraska was born August 15, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Angelo and Catherine (Ricciardi) Parrino.

In 1969, he began working for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and retired out of the Sheriff’s Department as a District Attorney Investigator. Joe retired at 58 to pursue his dream of life fulfilling relaxation in the state of Nebraska.

Joe passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2019, at the Hillcrest Firethorn Nursing Facility in Lincoln having reached the earthly age of 82 years, eight months and 13 days.

Joe is survived by his son Nick Parrino and wife Jenny of Ventura, Calif.; daughter Tina Parrino of Weed, Calif.; grandchildren: Myles Parrino of Ventura, Calif.; Lauren Parrino of Santa Cruz, Calif.; Bridget Parrino of Ventura, Calif.; Joey Parrino of Weed, Calif.; a brother Fortunato “Slim” Parrino and wife Emily of Merced, Calif.; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 2, 2019, at The Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, with Pastor Terry Weible officiating.

Interment was at the Sheridan Cemetery near Auburn with military honors.
