ELIZABETH L. WARD

Elizabeth L. Ward, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born in Auburn, Nebraska to the late Lawrence and Veve Quante.

She was a member of Newburgh Presbyterian Church, University of Evansville Emeriti, and University of Nebraska Alumni Association. She enjoyed University of Evansville sports, local arts and theatre.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ivan L. “Ike” Ward; and daughter, Leslie Renee Ward.

She is survived by sons, Ric Ward (Debbie Kay), Greg Ward, Scott Ward; granddaughter, Mikayla Spore; great-grandchildren, Nikolas and Nathaniel Spore; and sister Kay Swales.

Memorial services were held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Newburgh Presbyterian Church, officiated by Pastor Stephen Gutridge. Burial will follow at a later date in Lafayette Cemetery near Brock, Nebraska.
