CLARENCE (KEN) KENDALL CAPLES

1956 - 2023

Clarence “Ken” Kendall Caples, 67, of Brownville, Nebraska was born on January 24, 1956 in Los Angeles, California to Clarence Wesley and Sharon (Morrow) Caples. His family moved to Brownville, Nebraska when he was young and later to Auburn where Ken attended Auburn High School.

On December 12, 1986, Ken was united in marriage to Angela Madron at the Baptist Church in Rock Port, Missouri. As a young man he took several jobs assisting local farmers and was also employed at Missouri Beef packers. Ken later began his career working for two different engineering companies that were contracted with Cooper Nuclear. Ken and family later moved to Tioga, North Dakota for seven years where he was employed as a Construction Manager in the oil fields before returning to Brownville. Ken enjoyed collecting knives and watching NASCAR when Dale Earnhardt was racing. He loved to spend time with his family, whether it was vacationing at Table Rock Lake or scuba diving with his boys.

Ken passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at his home in Brownville, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of 67 years, 1 month and 4 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ron and Craig Caples and mother-in-law Myrlene Kellison.

Ken is survived by his loving wife Angie Caples of Brownville, NE; sons: Kenneth Caples of Lincoln, NE; Keith Caples and his significant other Eva Quattrocchi of Galina, MO; Kris Caples and his girlfriend Stephanie Askildson of Brownville, NE; grandchildren: Angel Caples and Roark Quattrocchi, brother-in-law Derrick Madron and wife Kelley of Tarkio, MO; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Hall Funeral Chapel, 707 15th Street in Auburn, Nebraska. Family will greet friends at the viewing from 6-8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family with a later designation.
