CAROL ELIZABETH KOERNER

Carol Elizabeth (Wanrow) Koerner was born December 5, 1929 in Humboldt, Nebraska to Earnest and Alice Wanrow.

She had three sisters and one brother. Koerner grew up on a farm in Pawnee County, attended a rural school and Peru State Teachers College for 1 1/2 years. She taught 8 years in rural schools in Pawnee County. Koerner moved to Lincoln, worked at Goodyear and retired after 30 years.

She married Leonard Koerner and they had 2 children: Russell (Debra) Koerner and Sandra (Steve) McManus. Together they blessed her with 7 grandchildren (3 boys and 4 girls) and 4 great-grandchildren. Being “Grandma” was her greatest joy.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters and a brother.

The funeral service was Friday, November 5, 2021 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Chris Koerner, Shea and Finn McManus, Brandon Butler, Tom Hier and Phil Turner.

Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
