Brice Landon Volker, 38, of Auburn, Nebraska was born on October 12, 1982 in Omaha, Nebraska. His parents, Keith and Jody (Johnson) Volker raised their family in Beatrice and Laurel, Nebraska before moving to Lincoln, where Brice attended Norris High School and graduated in 2001. He then attended the University of Nebraska –Lincoln and Doane University. On December 14, 2013, Brice was united in marriage to Emily Jantzen in rural Beatrice. The couple made their home in Auburn, Nebraska. Brice farmed with his family in rural Humboldt, Nebraska, operated his seed business, custom farmed, and manage an online auction of farm equipment service. He and Emily are members of St. James (Long Branch) Lutheran Church in rural Humboldt.

Brice went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 2, 2021. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Lenora Volker; Vernon and Elaine Johnson; and an uncle, Merlin Volker.

Brice is survived by his loving wife, Emily Volker, of Auburn, NE; parents: Keith (Susan) Volker, of Lincoln, NE; Jody Johnson, fiancé, Bob Ellsworth, of Lincoln; inlaws, Warren (Gail) Jantzen, of Plymouth, NE; siblings: Stephanie Volker and friend, Gabriel Estes, of Fairbury, NE; Collin (Samantha), Volker, of Lincoln; nephews: Samuel Jantzen, of Chesapeake, VA; Jeromy and Jacob Henry, of Fairbury; Gabe Addleman-Platte, of Lincoln; nieces: Genesis Estes of Fairbury, Natyli Volker of Lincoln; brothers-in-law Brian and Paul Jantzen, a large extended family and an abundance of friends from home and afar.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 701 N. 6th Street in Beatrice, Nebraska with Pastor Eric Spruth-Janssen officiating. A livestream broadcast of Brice’s funeral and graveside services will be available on the Wherry Mortuary/Monument Facebook page.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021, at the Wherry Mortuary, 202 3rd Street in Tecumseh, Nebraska. Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the St. James (Long Branch) Lutheran Cemetery in rural Humboldt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be given to designated ag related organizations chosen by the family.
