Beverly Ann “Sis” (Sherman) Kieler, 78 years of age, of Peru, Nebraska was born on July 30, 1939 in Peru to Harold and Bessie (Simpson) Sherman. She grew up in Peru and had all of her schooling there through the 12th grade at TJ Majors Hall. Beverly graduated from Peru Prep High School with the class of 1957. On February 2, 1958, Beverly was united in marriage to William “Bud” Kieler at the Peru Christian Church. To this union four children: Cindy, Shelly, Bill, and Kim were born. The couple lived in Auburn for a year before moving back to Peru where they have lived since and raised their family. Beverly was a warm and loving woman who was a stranger to no one. She crocheted afghans for many and made socks for girls. Beverly passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at her home in Peru, having reached the age of seventy-eight years, three months and twelve days. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Shirley Sherman, and an infant brother Frankie Sherman. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 59 years William “Bud” Kieler of Peru; children: Cindy De La Cruz and husband Lupe of Peru, Neb.; Shelly Carper and husband Mike of Lake Havasu, Arizona; Bill Kieler and wife Todda of Peru; Kim Kieler of Auburn, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; a sister Dorothy Weiss of Beatrice, Neb.; a brother Richard Sherman of Utica, Neb.; brother-in-law John Trayer and wife Marie of Sprague, Neb.; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, Nebraska with Pastor Raymond Girard officiating. Visitation took place on Thursday, November 16, at The Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn with family greeting friends during the evening at the mortuary. Interment will be at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Peru. Memorials contributions are suggested to Tabitha Hospice, 1114 Grundman Blvd, Nebraska City, Nebraska 68420.
