SENCA Weatherization Offers Energy Saving Solutions for Qualifying Area Households

In an effort to create more awareness of the Weatherization Assistance Program, and the energy saving benefits the program provides to qualifying households, October 30th is recognized each year as National Weatherization Day. SENCA has been weatherizing homes of eligible, low-income households since 1975.

Unserviceable U.S. Flags Retired in Ceremony

FOLLOWING THE Veterans Day concert at the Auburn Public Schools Central Office, U.S. flags which were damaged beyond repair were given a dignified retirement. Leading the rite were members of American Legion Post 23 and Boy Scout Troop 321. Al Armstrong is Post 23 commander. Leading Troop 321 is Doug Billesbach. Those in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The day brought unseasonably warm weather. Thursday, Nov. 11, Nemaha County residents, as well as other Nebraskans and Americans, will celebrate those who are serving in the U.S. armed forces while paying tribute to living veterans. Sheriff’s Office Will Participate In ‘Click It or Ticket’ Nov. 24-28

The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the “Click It or Ticket” enforcement mobilization which runs November 24th through November 28th, 2021. During this time Nemaha County Deputies will conduct highly visible saturation enforcement patrols throughout Nemaha County with special emphasis on enforcing Nebraska’s occupant protection, safety belt and child restraint laws.
