Festivities of the 58th annual Johnson Chicken Barbecue weekend get underway Friday, June 17 with scavenger hunts. Those will continue throughout the weekend. Most activities occur Sunday, June 19.

Pilots wishing to land their aircrafts at the Auburn Municipal Airport now have a new precision approach path indicator (PAPI) lighting system to guide their approach to touchdown. Two ADB Safegate PAPI light stations have been installed on the runway at the Auburn Airport, one set on the south side of the runway facing south, and another set on the north side of the runway facing north.
