Wednesday, July 20, the Auburn Board of Public Works (BPW) approved replacing about 100 high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights in residential areas with light emitting diodes (LED).
The countdown is underway to the 2022 Nemaha County Fair.
Over 30 youngsters spent the past week developing skills and discovering the joys one of the world’s most popular sports. The free clinic was organized by Jan Teten in memory of her late husband, Ken, who was an avid golfer. Now, Jan honors Ken by giving local kids an opportunity to fall in love with the game, as Ken did.
New yard signs are popping up across Southeast Nebraska thanks to the Four County Collaborative. The signs appear in pairs or groups displaying positive messages such as “YOU ARE ENOUGH” and “YOU MATTER” along with resources to seek help, such as the new “988” mental health assistance hotline.
