The Southeast District Health Department (SEDHD) confirmed additional cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) within the district during the first week of June.

AUBURN MUNICIPAL POOL’S use this summer was in doubt earlier this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Auburn Mayor Dan White reports tentative plans call for reopening the municipal swimming pool on Wednesday, June 17 (with details of restrictions and guidelines to be announced prior to that date). White said the splash pad, playground equipment, shelter house and restrooms at the recreation complex will remain closed at this time. This also applies to the restrooms, shelter house and playground equipment at Legion Memorial Park and any other playgrounds and restrooms under the city’s supervision. Any changes will be announced when determined.
Owner Melissa Waddell of Cafe Metro in Auburn told the newspaper Friday that she continues to try to attract customers during this time of COVID-19. However, Waddell said the effort hasn’t been entirely successful or come without struggle.
