AUBURN HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADERS were judged State Champions in Class C1 in Sideline and Non-tumbling divisions of the 2019 Nebraska State Cheer Championships held Feb.16 in Grand Island. The Bulldogs finished best among 14 schools for their Sideline routine and best among three entries in Non-tumbling. Coach Joellen Hamann’s squad had a team score of 90.87 in Sideline, while Syracuse finished runners-up with 87.77 and Lincoln Lutheran placed third with 81.77. Auburn edged Cozad in the Non-tumbling division with a score of 93.87, compared to Cozad’s 93.07.
