Katelynne Moore, the victim of the May 10 hit-and-run collision that occurred just outside of Auburn, remains in a Lincoln hospital, according to the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office.
A $74,700 bid on Chromebooks was accepted Monday night, May 11 by the Auburn Public Schools (APS) Board of Education. The approximately 360 tablets will be used by students in grades seven through 12 next school year.
THE FRONT WINDOWS of the Auburn Memorial Library carry a message about the Youth Summer Reading Program which began on May 18 and even shows some of the new books which the library has available. The Reading Program runs through July 18. Library Director Heather Koeneke’s report to the Auburn City Council for the month of May indicated the library’s staff is still providing curbside service and the new summer reading program will comply with the Directed Health Measures. During the month of March, the library saw 1,517 patrons who circulated 2,936 items, while the figures for April showed 721 patrons circulating 2,287 items.
