August 5 — Director Scott R. Frakes announced that an employee with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) is positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff member is employed at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). The person is self-isolating at home.

Saturday afternoon, Aug. 1, there were 22 Johnson-Brock High School Class of 2020 seniors awarded diplomas. Co-valedictorians of the class were Elizabeth Hodges and Hailey Sandfort.
