AUBURN — The Rural Impact Hub Forum for candidates, Janet Palmtag and Senator Julie Slama, running for Nebraska’s 1st Legislative District, has been canceled. In recent weeks, the candidates have been unable to agree on the forum’s format. The event, originally slated for October 12, was a continuation of the forum hosted virtually on March 30, 2020 leading up to the primary election.

VINTAGE VEHICLES were available to be viewed on the Nemaha County Fairgrounds Saturday, Oct. 3. Temperatures in the 50s prevailed as the Nemaha Valley Street Rods conducted their Show and Shine car show. Joe Allison of Auburn brought his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette.
