Avoid the Three Cs

More than seven months after coming to Nebraska, the coronavirus is still here. Back in April, Dr. James Lawler from the University of Nebraska Medical Center cautioned that we were only in the second inning of the pandemic. I wish I could tell you that we’re in the bottom of the ninth. I know Nebraskans are weary of the pandemic and the restrictions in place to combat the coronavirus. The reality, however, is that we’re still in the middle innings. There’s a long way to go.

Investing in Sound Infrastructure

October marks the middle of harvest season for crops like corn, soybeans, and sorghum here in Nebraska. This process, the culmination of many months of work, also highlights how we rely on infrastructure for irrigation, transportation, and bringing products to market. Infrastructure has a hand in just about everything we do, including making agriculture more efficient. By prioritizing rural infrastructure, we lay a foundation for national economic growth.
